All AllerEase® Hotels have at least one floor or section devoted to hypoallergenic AllerEase® rooms. These hotels also place HEPA air purifiers in their group meeting spaces. Standard AllerEase® hotels feature a distinctive silver seal on their website.
Some AllerEase® Hotels have made ALL guest rooms hypoallergenic with encasements over every guest room pillow, mattress, and duvet. These hotels also provide HEPA air purifiers in group meeting spaces and at least 10% of guest rooms. These hotels are identified by the gold Certified AllerEase® ALL ROOMS seal on their site.
To achieve AllerEase® Hotel status, hoteliers must adequately train all hotel staff members on their duties related to AllerEase® rooms. Hoteliers must also attest every quarter that they have correctly carried out the Wellness Hospitality Association International's (WHAI) cleaning and maintenance protocols. Once a year, a representative from the WHAI conducts an onsite inspection to ensure the reduced-allergen rooms are being correctly maintained.
